Who are we?
South Australian owned and operated since 2002.
Festival Hire has grown from a small-scale hire business into an award-winning South Australian provider of event hire, temporary structures and event infrastructure.
Based in Underdale, Adelaide, Festival Hire works across metropolitan and regional South Australia, providing marquees and temporary structures, furniture, flooring, catering equipment, tableware and complete event solutions for major events, corporate functions, exhibitions, weddings, private events and industrial applications.
Under the leadership of Director Shane Pope, Festival Hire has built an experienced team capable of delivering everything from individual hire items to complex event and temporary infrastructure projects.
In 2024, Festival Hire expanded its South Australian operations with the acquisition of Barossa Function Hire, establishing a permanent presence in Nuriootpa and extending its service capabilities throughout the Barossa and surrounding regions.
Built on Experience. Still Hands-On.
Despite the growth of Festival Hire, Shane remains actively involved in the day-to-day business and can regularly be found onsite working alongside the team.
His passion for the events industry remains much the same as when he purchased the business in 2002:
“There’s something pretty special about starting with an empty space and building an event from the ground up. It might only be there for a day, but the memories people take away can last for years.”
Today, Festival Hire combines more than two decades of experience with an extensive hire inventory, specialist structures, experienced crews and the capability to deliver projects throughout South Australia.
From a single piece of equipment to the infrastructure behind an entire event or project, our focus is the same – practical solutions, reliable service and a team that understands what it takes to get the job done.

Safety First, Always
Safety is fundamental to every Festival Hire installation. From private events to major sites and temporary industrial structures, our team considers the structure, location, ground conditions and installation requirements before the job begins.
Our marquees and temporary structures are installed and appropriately secured or weighted in accordance with relevant requirements and Hire & Rental Industry Association (HRIA) guidelines.
We also understand that conditions can change. Our team monitors weather conditions where appropriate and works with clients and event organisers to ensure structures are used safely throughout the hire period.
Professional installation, appropriate weighting and experienced crews are all part of delivering safe, reliable temporary structures.
